A second suspect connected to the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Tyler Lee Jones in downtown Fredericksburg has surrendered to authorities. Elijah Musgrove turned himself in at the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office in West Virginia following the incident on December 14, 2024.
The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. in the 400 block of William Street, resulting from an altercation between known parties. Officers found Jones on Charles Street with gunshot wounds; he was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Prior to Musgrove’s surrender, 21-year-old Woodford resident Izaiah Jabbar Daniels was arrested during a vehicle stop by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Daniels faces charges of second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and is currently held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
Musgrove remains in custody in West Virginia, awaiting extradition to Virginia, where the Fredericksburg Police Department will continue the legal process. The investigation is ongoing.
