Heroes Fest IGY6 is more than just a music festival. The event is designed to raise awareness and promote the prevention of veteran, soldier, and military family suicide, with the ultimate goal of bringing these numbers down to zero. Proceeds from the festival go towards supporting organizations that provide mental health resources and services to those in need. So, not only will you have a great time at the event, but you’ll also be supporting a worthy cause.
The day will kick off early with a “Race to End Vet Suicide” at 7 a.m., followed by a “Walk to End Vet Suicide” inside the stadium at 9:30 a.m. If you want to participate in either of these events, you can register on their respective websites. After the walk and race are over, the festival will officially begin at noon and run until 8 p.m.
The festival will feature a variety of activities, games, and vendors, so you’ll never run out of things to do! In addition to the games and vendors, the event will also include live music from a variety of performers. The concert lineup includes headliner Soho Down, a full-rock band that is sure to get you moving. Other performers include Radionv and Mackenzie Ryan, both providing acoustic vibes, and Mike “Rook” Richards with some soulful solo performances.
In addition to the live music and other activities, Heroes Fest IGY6 will also feature a “Veteran Village” where veterans and their family members can gather to network, talk to recruiters, and learn about available resources and services. It’s a great way to connect with others in the veteran community and to learn about the resources that are available to you.
