Stafford County sets first Economic Development Summit for Nov. 18

Stafford County Economic Development will host its first Economic Development Summit on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center, 20 Sanford Drive, Fredericksburg.

First public discussion of the strategic plan

According to Go Stafford Virginia, the Stafford County Board of Supervisors adopted a new Economic Development Strategic Plan earlier this year. The summit is described as the first public discussion of that plan with business leaders, developers, educators, investors, elected officials and community partners who are expected to help carry it out.

Potomac Local reported that attendees will hear about economic priorities, opportunities for investment and collaboration, and ways to take part in implementing the plan.

Topics on the agenda

Organizers list topics that include workforce development, business growth, site readiness, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, placemaking and community prosperity. Go Stafford Virginia frames the gathering as a shift from planning to action under the theme of building Stafford's future together.
