Remembering Ellie Blaine: The Inspiring Story Behind 'Ellie's Elves'

Ellie's Elves is a non-profit organization created by Joni Nast and Elizabeth Nast in memory of Ellie Blaine, a two-year-old diagnosed with Pineoblastoma brain cancer. More than 3,400 Elves work together to bring joy to those suffering from cancer and families in need, tackling projects both big and small to make a positive difference in their lives.
Ellie's Elves is a non-profit organization that provides support to cancer patients and their families, as well as any family in crisis. It was founded by Joni Kanazawa in 2014 in honor of Ellie Blaine, who at the age of two was diagnosed with Pineoblastoma, a rare brain cancer. Blaine passed away on December 22, 2013. On the anniversary of her death, more than 1,500 people gathered to celebrate Ellie’s life with candles lighting the pathway ahead and individuals around the world sending their support from Australia, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Ellie's Elves is a non-profit organization created by Joni Nast and Elizabeth Nast in honor of Ellie. Its mission is to bring joy to those who are suffering from cancer and families in need. With more than 3,400 Elves working together, Ellie's Elves provides a wide range of services for whatever the family may need. As they strive to Shine Their Light In Our Community, Ellie's Elves are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by cancer and other hardships.
