About St Michael The Archangel Catholic High School
The inspiration for Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic High School was ignited in 1996 by a conversation with George Elliot, the principal of Saint Patrick’s. The question was, “What do we do for a Catholic high school when our three-year-old daughter is ready?” The answer was to put her on a train at 6 am and send her north. That response sparked a fire.
In 2006, after a decade of research, visits, prayer, and dedicated effort from a group of men and women, Saint Michael was opened with just 12 students who matriculated in the basement of a doctor’s office.
This fall, as we begin our 19th year as an accredited, diocesan-recognized Catholic high school, it is our pleasure to introduce Miss Emily Brown as our new principal. Emily graduated magna cum laude from Mount St. Mary’s in 2015 with degrees in education and special education. She completed her master’s degree in education leadership this May. Emily has taught in the Spotsylvania County public school system for the last seven years. She is a practicing Catholic and is engaged to be married this December.
Emily is a 2011 alumni of Saint Michael, and in 1996 at the age of three, was the initial inspiration for Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic High School.
Please pray for our staff, our students, our families, our alumni, our supporters, and for the Lord’s continued blessings for Saint Michael.
